It is a money market (short term) investment product which offers varying and flexible investment tenors of 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year. It also attracts higher interest rate than other investment outlets and the interest is payable upfront. The investor is issued with a certificate of investment which is acceptable as security or collateral for lending within the financial sector.
